I compare, analyze, and get inspired to create a new story.
I am very imaginative and have come up with many stories. When I’m working on a project, I always look around and get inspired to create a story. Travel is a must for me. In a new environment, I compare, analyze, and get inspired to create a new story.
As a spatial experience designer, I carefully observe and analyze people and the environment to create spaces that inspire them. I continue to study how to create a space that is how to give valuable space to both people and the environment.
Hello,
I am an architectural designer whose journey has taken me from South Korea to Los Angeles and now to Sweden, each step deepening my passion for creating thoughtful, meaningful spaces. I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Design (Spatial Experience Design) from ArtCenter College of Design, where I focused on interior design, architecture, and sustainability. My background in fine art sparked my interest in exploring materials and creative processes, which naturally evolved into a focus on environmental and spatial design. Through this journey, I discovered my strengths in creativity, human interaction, and storytelling through space.
My professional experience spans multiple countries and design disciplines. During a summer internship at Jinsa + Architects (JAAX) in Los Angeles, I contributed to the partition design and overall layout for the IKI Ramen restaurant project. I also assisted in sourcing material samples for the interior of the Gentle Monster retail store in Houston, Texas.
At Okko Design in Stockholm, I focused on sound solutions for interior architecture. Working on projects like the Sveaskog office lounge and Persona restaurant, I gained hands-on experience in hospitality and commercial interior design. I developed designs for acoustic solutions, incorporating sustainable materials like hemp and peat fiber panels to balance sound quality and atmosphere. This taught me the importance of integrating functionality, aesthetics, and environmental responsibility.
More recently, I completed restaurant interior design projects for Monster Chicken and Nopo 1988 in Stockholm. These experiences sharpened my skills in client collaboration, project management, and crafting spaces that reflect brand identity while enhancing the customer experience.
As a Design Reporter for the Seoul Design Foundation, I have researched and shared insights on Swedish public design and its influence. This role has given me a deeper understanding of how cultural context shapes design thinking and inspired me to find meaningful ways to bridge Korean and Swedish design perspectives.
With a blend of global experience, creative curiosity, and a focus on human-centered design, I aim to contribute to teams that value collaboration and thoughtful design solutions. My goal is to create spaces that not only meet practical needs but also leave a lasting emotional impact on those who experience them.
